Peer pressure?

The story begin last Monday..i had a meet up with my lovely miss bie in KL...
the meet up is to return something to me..i went out early that day since she said that she would be arriving at 10.30am or so...
when i was on my way she said she would like to meet up somewhere else and at a different time since...she and her friend decided to go somewhere else...
it's ok with me then..
so i'm of to Bukit Bintang area ...it is the morning of deepavali..
kinda empty the roads of KL i can say..
arrive in KL kinda early..and decided to go to my fav place all time Plaza Low Yat...ahaha..
so what ? i am a tech freak =)
i was on the hunt for several stuff..my dads replacement stylus for his pda, my mom a pouch for her phone, and finally me..a docking station for my phone and in car charger =)
along my journey there ..i learn few stuff..
and most of it is for my future uses ..yea !!
i eyed for a new printer also ..hopefully i got the budget juz in time before the model is gone in the market...
ok...
the real story for this post ..
as i was waiting for the guy at the phone shop to get the stylus for my dads phone..i had a conversation with one of the guy at the shop regarding phones .. =P~ im drooling over samsung omnia..
ok ok ..back to the story..
then come a kid aged around 15-17 i think..
coming to the shop asking "ada iphone x?"
ok at first i was like uuuu...cari iphone..
and then she was asking about iphone 3G
i heard that guy quoted the price RM3200 for the iphone..
i was like WTF !!!!stupid american phone and highly overrated..
then she asked for the samsung omnia price..and it was around RM2600..
i was like OMG
ur juz a kid
even if ur family is fuckin rich ..ur still a kid..juz get a norm phone for god sake...
should i be jealous? hmm..nah ..
in my head ..my guess is that teen nowadays are having the pressure of the stats at school..who have the coolest gadgets..stylish shoes whatever lah this days..
juz in my opinion ..oh god...
are Malaysian kids are a bunch of noob fags?
buyin stuff without even thinkin about the pros and cons..even compare the price for a better specs..??
well i guess the social stats remains important regaeding the price...
for me it is juz plain stupid to go over a gadget without knowing to judge...
this is because ur spending not few bucks but thousands in this case..
do a bit of research !!! get to know stuff !!!
well i guess there is no lesson in malaysia on judging and making decision huh??
the thing that cross into my mind seriously is that ..
if the parents or siblings are rich ..then ok la for the kids to tapau them..
but what if...
they are a norm people..???
with norm background..??
is this what our media n society leads our teen towards?
i know kids nowadays do bring phones to school..cameras..mp3 n mp4 playerss..
but please la ..think abt the parents..
haih..i dun wanna go abt the SLR craze that's been going..
kidz juz cant live with norm compact cam huh?
one great example..my cuz ...i dunno y is he so so into DSLR..really2 wanna borrow mine..
i guess juz to show of to his friends? and look cool perhaps..
i guess most malaysians teen are going through this..
and with the recession coming up...i dont think most parents could keep up to this..
i guess that's all for this post..
i am juz purely dissapointed with most teen attitude
i wonder during my time none of this was really a problem
the only thing i think really troublesome last time was Digimon..
but to think of it..it was only like 40-60 bucks ..if u wanna compare with phones and cameras range from 800-3000 bucks ..
after my jouney in low yat plaza..then i met up with miss bie and then send her home ..
